Speculations about Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora's close friendship have been rife ever since she filed for a divorce with Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz Khan. Though, a lot has been said and written about the same, both Arjun and Malaika have remained tight lipped on the matter. Now, rumour mills are busy churning that Arjun's closeness to Salman's former bhabhi Malaika has resulted in a crack between his bond with Arjun since he apparently considers that to be the reason behind Malaika and Arbaaz's divorce.
Arjun was spotted avoiding bumping into Salman at a couple of events and has maintained distance from him too. But recent reports suggest that Arjun is now trying to make peace with Salman Khan. Why do we say so?
Well, if a report on Deccan Chronicle is to be believed, then an insider shared that Arjun has been in touch with Salman's sisters Arpita Khan Sharma and Alvira Agnihotri, ever since he was convicted in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in order to try and find out more about Salman. The insider was quoted as saying, "Salman has been informed about Arjun's concern, but it's not known yet if the former will reciprocate the gesture."
The insider further informed, "Salman Khan isn't telling anybody not to work with Arjun Kapoor. He doesn't need to. But a lot of filmmakers are avoiding Arjun Kapoor because they don't want to offend Salman Khan."
Earlier, when Arjun's father Boney Kapoor was in a financial crisis, Salman had come forward to help him and had offered to work in the film No Entry without charging a single penny. Apparently, Boney had also cautioned Arjun and advised him to maintain a distance from Malaika.
Reportedly, when Salman heard the rumours about Arjun and Malaika he confronted Arjun and the Mubarakaan actor denied them. But now that the speculations of a growing friendship between Arjun and Malaika are rife once again, it has apparently upset Salman owing to his protective nature about the members of his family.
On the work front, Arjun is currently shooting for Sandeeo Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey England.
