Boney Kapoor to offer Prayers for Sridevi at Haridwar next

Last week, Boney Kapoor and his two daughters — Janhvi and Khushi — flew to Rameswaram in a special aircraft to immerse Sridevi’s ashes in the holy island town. An insider says that the producer is slated to go to Haridwar next to pray for his wife’s departed soul. “Conducting prayers at Haridwar is a  significant custom for Hindus, especially for those who are from North India. And Boney wants to ensure that he goes through the rituals at the holy place,” the insider adds.

One also hears that instead of the prayers in Chennai being held on the 13th day, it is likely that the prayer meet in Sri’s hometown will take place on the 16th day, following her demise. The Indian cinema icon passed away on February 24 in Dubai. Meanwhile, it was a low-key affair for Janhvi, who celebrated her 21st birthday yesterday.
