Bharat has passed the most difficult test. This Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer has managed to remain steady on Sunday despite it being a big day for Indians due to India-Pakistan World cup clash. All movies were expected to get affected due to the match, but Bharat managed to remain steady.
Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer Bharat opened to major collections and the movie was expected to work better due to good word-of-mouth. The collections however declined from Monday up until Friday. The weekends however gave the movie a little boost.
From Rs. 3.75 crore collections on Friday, Bharat took almost 50% jump on Saturday and collected Rs. 6 crore. While the movie was expected to mint Rs. 8 crore, it remained steady at Rs. 6 crore on Sunday despite the much-awaited India vs Pakistan World Cup 2019 clash.
Bharat, made on budget of Rs. 100 crore, has not yet touched Rs. 200-crore mark in its second week. The movie might get out of theatres with that mark though, making it a hit soon enough. Interestingly Bharat has been performing well in Delhi/UP and the viewers there have major contribution towards the total collection, reports Box Office India.
Week 1 (extended week - 9 days):
Wednesday - Rs 41.75 crore approx
Thursday - Rs 30 crore approx

Bharat faces no competition this week with five Hindi and one Hollywood film release. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson's Men In Black: International released in India on June 14 along with five Hindi movies namely Game Over, Khamoshi, Khel Khallas, Kissebaaz and Rescue. The jodi, part of Thor's world, was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Interestingly despite the Hindi movie releases, MIB: International has performed well in Indian markets and showed growth on its second day of release. The coming week i.e. June 21 however might become tougher for the movie to sustain since Arjun Reddy's Hindi adaptation Kabir Singh featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani would release in theatres.
