Superstar Shah Rukh Khan leaves no stone unturned to make his birthday special for his fans. This year, he has chosen to treat them with the trailer of his most ambitious project, Zero. Showcasing him in a never-seen-before avatar, the film, which celebrates life, has got cinema lovers across quarters excited. Set against the backdrop of Meerut, it presents the unique story of Bauua Singh, essayed by the Bollywood Badshah. The Aanand L Rai directorial, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, offers interesting performances with an unconventional storyline.
Aanand, who regards this movie special, says, “I’m extremely delighted to be working on a film like Zero. It is a story of three incomplete individuals and how they handle life’s challenges while celebrating their shortcomings. There is something in the movie for everyone as each of us are incomplete in our own way. Working with Shah Rukh Khan has been immensely rewarding and I am happy to present the trailer of our film on his birthday.”
Talking about the same, SRK states, “Zero is a very interesting and an unusual film, which is close to my heart. The characters are unique yet relatable to everyone, creating a premise of curiosity amongst the viewers. Aanand L Rai has created a new world amongst the regular world, which is the biggest takeaway of the film. I cannot wait to launch it amongst my fans today.” Anushka adds, “It has been amazing to work in such an endearing project. Zero is so much more than what meets the eye.” Katrina, on her part, avers, “I am excited to witness the reactions of the audience to our trailer, each of us is playing a role that we haven’t done before, which makes it all the more special.”
The film’s first look featured King Khan as an adorable vertically-challenged man, thereby piquing the audience’s interest. During Eid, the makers treated viewers to a fun-filled teaser featuring him and Salman Khan in a song.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions come together to bring Zero. Produced by Gauri Khan and starring Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, the Aanand L Rai directorial releases on December 21.
