Batti Gul Meter Chalu vs Helicopter Eela: Shahid-Shraddha starrer to clash with Kajol

After a lot of back and forth, the makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu have finalised a release date. They have moved the Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer from August 31 to September 14. This also means that the social drama, helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, will now clash with another film at the ticket windows — Kajol’s Helicopter Eela, which is produced by her husband, actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn and directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The film announced its date with cinemas just last week.

Apart from these two films, reports were rife that Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu starrer Manmarziyan was also looking to open in the same week. However, the movie’s makers haven’t made an official announcement yet. So, for now, it will be Shahid and Shraddha against Kajol at the BO!
