John Abraham-Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House released in theatres on Independence Day and had a decent opening at the Box Office. The movie continued to score average business over two days of its release. On its first Saturday however, much like its competitor Mission Mangal, Batla House also witnessed 30-35% growth.

Batla Housestarring John Abaraham in the lead role, had a decent occupancy of 20-25%, which, in comparison to his 2018 Independence Day release Satyameva Jayate, was not up to the mark. John's film however seems to be back in the race, since the movie has picked up on its first Saturday after starting slow on Thursday and Friday.

While the movie earned Rs. 15.55 crore on opening Thursday and went on to mint Rs. 8.84 crore on first Friday, it showed 30-35% growth and collected Rs. 10.90 crore on its first Saturday, bringing it to total of Rs. 35.29 crore. If the movie continues its pace, it will end up earning Rs. 50 crore in its first weekend since release.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#BatlaHouse shows substantial growth on Day 3... Has been appreciated and that is reflecting in its numbers, despite a strong opponent... Should witness solid growth today [Sun]... Thu 15.55 cr, Fri 8.84 cr, Sat 10.90 cr. Total: 35.29 cr. India biz."

Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani, is based on the real life encounter case which took place in Delhi's Batla House on September 19, 2008. The movie also features Dilbar famed Nora Fatehi in a cameo appearance, including O Saki Saki recreation.
