Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda and Prateik Babbar too play pivotal roles in the sequel to Baaghi
The makers of Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 have just dropped its trailer and it's full of mind blowing action sequences to say the least. Going by the trailer, Baaghi 2 looks like a perfect action entertainer, coupled with spectacular stunts and chase sequences along with a few latka jhatkas as well.
The trailer begins with Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) revealing that he first met the love of his life, Neha (Disha Patani) in college and they were to get married too. But certain unfortunate turn of events happen to set them apart.
Ronnie goes on to become an army officer and a few years later, his ex lover meets him only to seek his help in finding her child Riya, who has been kidnapped. Then begins Ronnie's search for Riya and the rest of the trailer gives us glimpses of the extent to which he goes to find the whereabouts of Riya, and pull out those who're behind the kidnapping. He comes across the drug mafia, menacing Russian henchmen, corrupt officials and other obstacles in his search for Riya. Will he be able to find her? We'll have to wait for the film to release on March 30 to find that out.
The Baaghi 2 trailer is tailer-made for die-hard fans of Tiger Shroff. It's established beyond doubts that he is a "one-man army" and a rebel for love. Extreme close-ups of his oh-so-hot chiselled body and slow motion shots of the actions sequences do distract you from the narrative (not that we're complaining). Dialogues like, "Jo tera torture hai, woh mera warm-up hai" will surely gather whistles from the fans.
Disha seems to have played her part of a damsel-in-distress pretty well. The inherent charm of the actress helps her portray her character of a simple hapless woman to perfection. Manoj Bajpayee too makes an appearance in the role of a police officer and gets to flaunt some one-liners. It's also great to see Randeep Hooda and Prateik Babbar back on screen after quite some time.
But the Highlight of Baaghi 2 trailer remains the high octane action sequences and stunts performed by Tiger, who's seen in a never-before-seen avatar. From the beginning to the end of this 2 minute 45 second trailer, it's a Tiger Shroff show all the way. We sincerely hope that Disha Patani has more to do in the film, than what we see in the trailer.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 2 brings together Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani on the silver screens for the first time. The film is slated to hit the theatres on March 30.
