Anushka Sharma’s Pari to be remade in Tamil

Anushka Sharma’s last release, Pari, was her third outing as a producer after NH10 and Phillauri. While the former was a road thriller and the latter a supernatural drama, Pari was an out-and-out horror flick where the actress, who doesn’t shy away from experimenting as a producer or a performer, played a woman possessed by an evil spirit. Anushka had no qualms about sporting a battered, bruised look with blood strewn all over her for the major portion in the film. She was lauded for her performance and gutsy move. Now, the buzz is that Pari will be remade in Tamil. Says a source close to the development, “Quality horror stories work in this market and the producers have loved Pari. The offer on the table is a big one and only adds to the revenue of Pari. An announcement is expected to happen as soon as the deal is locked.”
