Akshay Kumar, Gauri Khan bring camo capers back in vogue

The camouflage print shows no sign of going out of fashion. It’s been the mainstay of the Fall 2019 runways internationally, whether John Elliot, Palm Angels or Philipp Plein’s collections. Closer home, the Bollywood brigade seems to have fallen for it hook, line and sinker, as well. And it’s not just the boys who are donning the soldiers’ clothing print but the ladies have taken a shine to it as well.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Akshay Kumar, who was spotted at the airport in camouflage overalls. A few days ago, Raveena Tandon wore a bomber jacket over a little black number. Gauri Khan has shown how the print can be worn in two extremely contrasting ways — a vigorous-appearing jacket with patches on it and with a dainty, feminine twist last week in separates when she stepped out for dinner with her family.

Whether it’s a jacket thrown over her no-fuss attire with a black tee and jeans for Sunny Leone, top and shorts for Tara Sutaria during an outing, cargos for Sidharth Malhotra on two occasions in the recent past, stars have been spotted donning it in almost every form one can imagine. Giving the sturdy-looking pattern a sexy touch was Bipasha Basu who wore a shirt dress of the camo.
