Akhil Sachdeva to release a soulful single

With the romantic track Humsafar (Badrinath Ki Dulhania), Akhil Sachdeva made quite the debut in Bollywood. The singer is now all set to release his new single, Gal Sun Jai Ja, which he has also composed. The love ballad, which releases on May 9, has been penned by Manoj Muntashir.

“It’s a song for the soul but its treatment is different from Humsafar. The vibe is upbeat and fresh and it’s a hummable song that will stay with you,” he says, adding that he likes the song more than Humsafar. Initially meant to release in a Bollywood film, it was released as a single owing to the trend of bringing back the pop culture of the ’90s. Akhil further reveals that the number was originally written in Punjabi but the lyrics were worked upon with Manoj to give it a Bollywood feel.
