Diwali saw the clash to two big superstars at the box office. While Aamir Khan's film 'Secret Superstar' released on the festive occasion, Ajay Devgn's 'Golmaal Again' released a day after on Friday.

No fight for screens here as the two superstars agreed on 50:50 ratio of multiplex screens. But box-office mathematics has a different story to tell. Soaking in the festive mood, cine goers seem more interesting in catching up the latest film in successful Golmaal franchise. With new additions of Tabu and Parineeti Chopra joining the original cast of Ajay Devgn, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi this time around, Golmaal Again is already on its way to become a 100 crore hit.

In just three days of its release, Rohit Shetty film has earned a whopping 87.60 crores in India and 20.62 crores overseas at the ticket window. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the box-office numbers which confirm a steady growth in collections. The blockbuster jodi of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn30 crores on first day of its release itself.

While Aamir Khan's 'Secret Superstar' is winning hearts. Not just Bollywood is in love with the Advait Chandan's debut film, film critics too are going gaga over Aamir and Dangal girl Zaira Wasim's reunion in this film. A film about 14 year old girl from Baroda who dreams of becoming a singer has only 20 minutes of mr perfectionist in the film. The film is enjoying a good word of mouth publicity but the box-office mathematics has a different story to tell. Not anywhere close of joining 100 crore, Aamir and Zaira's Diwali release has earned only 31.31 crores in since its release. Secret Superstar earned 4.8 crores on Thursday, 9.3 crores on Friday, 8.71 on Saturday and 8.50 crores on Sunday.

Although it is unfair to compare the two films, one is a small budget film while other boasts of big stars and a huge budget. Only time will tell if 'Secret Superstar' will be able to match up to 'Golmaal Again' success as there is no big release this Friday as well.
