After Hrithik Roshan, Vaani Kapoor to play Akshay Kumar's lover in 'Bell Bottom'?

Akshay Kumar announced various movies at once, the latest being 'Bell Bottom'. The female lead for this movie has reportedly been finalized and 'WAR' actress Vaani Kapoor might have been roped in to play his lover aka his wife in the movie this time.

"The script demanded a fresh pairing, Vaani was signed on a week ago and is excited for the shoot with Akshay. It’s not the usual female lead, a few romantic scenes and some songs. She plays Akshay’s wife and is integral to the narrative," a source told Mumbai Mirror.

'Bell Bottom' is a story based in the 80s and thus looks play a pivotal role in the film. Vaani would also be going through a look test. The test would be conducted once the movie goes on floors. 'Bell Bottom' is expected to take off in September, after Akshay wraps up Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Bachchan Pandey'.

'Bell Bottom' producer Jackky Bhagnani was recently in Jaiselmer with Akshay, giving him more instructions about his character. The movie would be shot at multiple locations, including Mumbai. "Recce will start once the travel restrictions following the coronavirus outbreak are relaxed. The team is presently working towards recreating the 80’s decade with set designers and a visual effects team," the source concluded.

Vaani previously played Hrithik Roshan's lover in 2019 blockbuster hit (and highest-grossing film) 'WAR'. The movie also featured Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
