Filmmaker Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain (2014) with Riteish Deshmukh playing the antagonist got Ekta Kapoor’s production house the desired numbers at the box office. Quite naturally Ekta and Mohit are thinking of making a sequel. While the grapevine insisted that they had offered Arjun Kapoor the role of the villain in their sequel, trade whispers suggest it may be Aditya Roy Kapur, who is being considered.

ARK and Mohit have a profitable association because Aashiqui 2 features among Aditya’s few box office hits. And so this creative team coming together again may actually prove a coup of sorts.
