We have already watched the trailer of the Tiger Shroff - Nidhhi Agerwal - Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer and here's why we liked it!
The wait is over. The theatrical trailer of Tiger Shroff's next film will be out in about a few hours. Munna Michael, like the film is called essentially revolves around Tiger's character and is a love triangle between the three primary characters - that of Tiger, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhhi Agerwal.
A dance-action film, directed by Sabbir Khan of Baaghi fame, this film is predominantly an homage to Michael Jackson and his legacy. We watched the trailer two days ago and here's why we loved it.
Tiger's tailor made for this role!
When you think of the perfect combination, which is dance and action, there are only two names that come to your head. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Tiger's action skills and his dancing moves have previously set temperatures soaring at the theatres. From the first frame to the last one, Tiger owns the trailer and how. His machismo is on another level altogether in this one and not just that, he is brilliant with those funny punches as well.
The dance tribute to MJ
Tiger has always wanted to play a character close to Michael Jackson on the reel. Because the King of Pop was someone who has influenced and inspired our man of the moment in real life as well. Here, his reel character Munna is a huge Jackson fan and there's an entire set piece where he pays homage to him. While we only get to see glimpses of that performance in the trailer, it's total paisa vasool. Whenever Tiger dances on the screen, it becomes a magical moment and for a dance film, what more do you want?
Nawaz's funny villainous act
He's essentially the villain, but in the trailer, he draws more laughs than scares. As the goon in love who wants to learn how to dance to get his girl, Nawaz is excellent. His comic timing is unmatched and the biggest highlight of the 2.50 minutes trailer is definitely his hilarious take on Shahid Kapoor's 'Gandi Baat'. Save your ceetees for this one!
Nidhhi exudes screen presence
The film introduces Nidhhi and although there are just a few scenes of hers in the promo, the whole plan of putting her as a surprise package works for us. In the few shots of her dancing in the film, it seems Nidhhi might just pull off a winner. After all, she plays a small town girl, who has huge ambitions of becoming a dancer someday. And as the woman stuck between the hero and the villain, it is as much her film as others. She looks really good too.
The dialogue-baazi and the execution
Sabbir has never gone wrong. And the powerful Tiger-Sabbir combo anyway brings in more excitement. The director's trademark elements are in place. When Tiger says 'Main maarta nahi, peetta hoon', it is surely going to bring in the cheers from his fans. The action and dance scenes are well executed and even Niddhi's 'Baby Doll' line in the trailer is funny.
The Munna Michael trailer will hit digital platforms on Monday afternoon but well, this sure is a big sneak peek into the world that the team has created.
