Stand up for love this Friday, as actor Ayushmann Khuranna and Bhumi Pednekar talk about adult issues with a dash of entertainment at the movies. 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan comes immediately after Ayushmann tasted success with 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' and Bhumi became the 100-crore heroine with 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' ruling the box office. And here are five reasons why we think Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a must watch this week:

Unconventional love story: If Toilet as a villain in Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar's film wasn't enough, then here's a love story where the hero's erectile dysfunction is the turning point in the romantic story. Mudit and Sugandha are in love and while the families are preparing for a grand wedding. But all the plans go for a toss when Mudit realises he suffers from erectile dysfunction. Their marriage also is sabotaged when their respective families get involved. Will love conquer all? Or as the tag line suggests will everyone 'Stand up for Love', well that's what 'Shubh Mangal Saavadhan' is all about.

Sex Education: If you don't count 'Masti' franchise or 'Kya Kool Hai Hum's adult jokes as sex education, then here comes a mainstream Bollywood film talking about the issue never addressed in films. In our conservative society, where 99 percent youth still don't have access to sex education, Shubh Mangal Saavadhan about erectile dysfunction as it is. The actor himself confessed in a column for DNA where he wrote about how men are happy to see him in roles like Vicky Donor or as Mudit in this one. Ayushmann wrote, "The kind of love I’m getting from men of this generation, who are coming out of their shells to express their sexual issues, is flabbergasting. Am I about to become the poster boy of beta males of our nation? Do guys really face performance anxiety? Is the feeling, which I get before going on stage at a concert, similar to the one that a lot of men have before going for a sexual act? I’m still trying to figure this out."

'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' reunion: Director Sharat Kataria gets credit for introducing this adorable jodi of Ayushmann and Bhumi in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' back in 2015. The film saw the most unconventional debut for an overweight Yash Raj heroine in it. But audience loved their quirky chemistry in this national award winning film. Ayushmann giving Bhumi a piggy back ride become their signature move. And so what if they don't get to do it in the movie, Ayushmann happily posed with Bhumi on his back and captioned on Instagram saying, " Yes @psbhumi this is our signature move. You're right, this one is a tribute not only to dum laga ke haisha but to many more memorable characters to come. As of now, it's time for mudit and Sugandha to greet you on 1st September." Awww!!!

Fun but not cheap humour: Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has got U/A certificate from the censor board, which is a proof of the fact that it is not a B-grade adult film or a sex comedy with sleazy scenes. It's yet another story from the heartland of India about regular people with their lives. Sample this, when mother of the heroine played Seema Pahwa tries to explain her daughter about losing virginity on the night of marriage, she is as awkward and as uncomfortable as most parents are.In the trailer she describes it, " Aurat ka shareer ek khazaana hai jo band guffa mein rehta hai. Aur ye guffa chalis choron ke liye nahi, but sirf ek liye khulti hai. Alibaba ke liye". Clearly, the filmmaker has tried adding humour to the adult matters.

RS Prasanna: This southern filmmaker directed the original Tamil film called  'Kalyana Samayal Saadham' and is making his debut in Bollywood with its remake. So be assured of the fact that this Aanand L Rai production is not going to be a vulgar film.
