The high court on Thursday adjourned the case challenging a lok ayukta special court order to probe the allegations of land scams against chief minister BS Yeddyurapa to June 6.

Sohan Kumar, Yeddyurappa’s son-in-law, had filed a writ petition in the high court challenging the February 26’s lok ayukta order.
On Thursday, he filed objections submitting that a single judge had passed the order and had not issued process to the accused
persons.

Therefore, no proceedings as such have commenced under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 19(3) could not be applied to scuttle the dispensation of justice.

The high court on March 29 had stayed the lok ayukta special court’s order to inquire into the allegations against Yeddyurappa and other family members over the land scams row.
