Chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda is all ears to your
problems, and wants to find solutions at the earliest. He
travelled around the city on Tuesday to inspectdevelopment works and said the city’s development was the priority for the state government

Chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday announced that he would dedicate at least two days in a week to take stock of development works in Bangalore.

“I will devote two hours on two days in a week to review the progress of various projects being implemented by the BBMP and BDA. If possible, I will also monitor BWSSB if time permits,” he said.

Gowda, who on Tuesday travelled around the city in a BMTC Volvo bus to inspect development works being taken up by the BDA, said Bangalore’s development was the priority for his government.
Gowda laid the foundation stone of Sculpture Park in Banashankari VI Stage; launched the BDA work for residential complexes for economically weaker sections in

Halagevaderahalli, near Rajarajeshwarinagar; laid the foundation stone for grade separator near Kanteerava Studio; and inspected progress of work at the two-tiered flyover at Nayandahalli Junction.
The chief minister admitted that the government had failed to address the people’s needs while distributing sites and houses. “We have failed to satisfy people, but my government will not accept defeat. We will address the problem efficiently,” said Gowda.

He said since the budget session was over, he could concentrate on development works in the city. “I am planning to travel to all the wards in the next three months,” he said.

‘Focus on work’
Gowda appeared to be a happy man as he inaugurated the Sculpture Park, built on five acres at a cost of `6 crore. Local MLA M Krishnappa had informed him earlier that 25,000 people would attend the event. Gowda advised Krishnappa to concentrate on completing development works rather than trying to please him by organising rallies.

Gowda appreciated BDA commissioner Bharat Lal Meena after inspecting houses built for economically weaker sections, in Nandini Layout.

Later, he announced that 148 houses were ready for occupation and the government intended to build 30,000 more for the poor. He further said that contract had been awarded to construct 6,000 dwelling units in Kodigenahalli and 150 other areas in the city.
