Central Crime Branch police have nabbed notorious rowdy-sheeter JCB Narayana alias Narayanaswamy alias JCB and two of his associates.
Soumya Menon.Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have nabbed notorious rowdy-sheeter JCB Narayana alias Narayanaswamy alias JCB and two of his associates, who were waiting to attack a rival gang member in HSR Layout on Wednesday.
JCB and his associates were wanted by the police for the murder of Chandra alias Auto Chandra (30) in April this year.
Based on a tip off, CCB sleuths arrested JCB (35) and his associates Venkatesh (32) and Ambarish (27), while two others are absconding. Police have seized lethal weapons from their possession.
JCB was waiting in a car along with four associates to attack Seena, an associate of Auto Chandra, as they received information that he was to pass by Somasundarapalya.
Earlier on April 21, Chandra, a resident of Sarjapura Hobli, Chowdenahalli in Anekal taluk was found murdered in a lake in Rayasandra in Parappana Agrahara. He had stab injuries on his abdomen and back, and a severe injury on the head caused by an iron rod.
A case had been registered in Parappana Agrahara and the case was later transferred to HSR layout, as investigations revealed that he was murdered there and the body was disposed of in the lake.
Police had then arrested five youths and during their interrogation, they revealed that JCB had plotted and executed the murder, as the two men were rivals. Chandra had a murder case, two attempts to murder cases and a case under Indian Arms Act against him, in Hebbagodi and Srirangapatna.
JCB Narayana had been arrested three years ago for the murder of Chandra’s older brother Srinivas in Sarjapur. Chandra was arrested a year ago and was initially lodged at Mysore Central Jail and was shifted to Tumkur jail six months ago for bad conduct.
