It was her husband’s refusal to take her on an outing that forced Pramila, 38, to end her life at their residence at Mahaganapathinagar in Basaveshwaranagar on Sunday morning, police said.
Pramila’s husband, 40-year-old software engineer Harish Kumar, refused to take her out due to his hectic work schedule.
Police said Pramila has been asking Kumar to take her out for a very long time.
She repeated her request on Sunday, but the husband promised to take her out some other day. The woman fed milk to her children, Varsha, 9, and Pranav, 7, and went into a first floor room and hanged herself from a ceiling fan around 8.30am. Pramila’s father Ramanjanna and her two brothers told the police that Kumar had been taking good care of the woman.
They also said she was short tempered.
