For the second time in just 12 days, Trio World International School’s ex-headmaster, Paul Meekin, was arrested by the police. This time it is for allegedly providing fake documents to get the headmaster’s post at the school. The school management verified his educational certificates and found he had submitted fake documents of his PhD (Doctor of Philosophy).

Kodigehalli police arrested Meekin, a British national and a resident of Sahakaranagar, based on a complaint filed by the Trio International World School, from where he was recently sacked after he was arrested on charges of sexually harassing a 14-year-old student of his school.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) BR Ravikanthe Gowda told DNA that the Trio World School management filed a complaint alleging that Meekin had submitted fake documents to the school while applying for the post of headmaster. “We have registered a case of cheating and also for falsification of documents in Kodigehalli police station. Police inspector Puneeth Kumar and his team arrested him around 10.30 pm on Wednesday,” Gowda said.

Meekin was earlier arrested on January 20 for allegedly using filthy language while sending chat messages to a 14-year-old boy from the school. The police had then charged him under provisions of section 23 of Juvenile Justice Act and section 67 of IT Act 2008.
