A labourer died on the spot and another sustained minor injuries when mud collapsed on them while they were working on an underpass construction on Hennur road in Bangalore, police said.
Karthik, 25, died on the spot when he got buried in the mud that fell from a height of 30 feet in the underpass that was being constructed, police sources told PTI.
The other labourer who sustained "simple injuries" was discharged after being administered first aid at a private hospital.
A case of death due to negligence will be filed against the private construction firm which was entrusted with the construction of the underpass, police said.
