Karnataka Upalokayukta SB Majage undergoes angioplasty, condition improving

Karnataka Upalokayukta SB Majage who was admitted to hospital yesterday with severe chest pain, underwent angioplasty, hospital sources said today.

"He actually suffered a massive heart attack and has undergone angioplasty", Dr Prasad, who is attending to Majage in the Cardiac Care Unit of Mallya hospital told PTI.

"All his vital parameters are stable and he is recovering", he said.

Majage will have to be in the hospital for "another four to five days and depending on his recovery, he would be discharged", Prasad said.

Retired judge of the Karnataka high court, Majage was sworn in as Upalokayukta here on July 19.
