BMTC bus mows down 15-year-old

A 15-year-old student was killed in an accident in VV Puram on Wednesday.

The deceased is identified as Renuka Prasad, a resident of Kalasipalya. He and his friend Akash, 17, were going to Kanakapura when their bike was hit by a BMTC bus.

Akash was riding the motorcycle while Prasad was riding pillion. When the bus hit the bike, Akash fell on the left side of the road, while Prasad fell on the right side and the bus ran over him injuring him seriously.

He was immediately rushed to KIMS hospital, and was later shifted to Vittal Mallya hospital where he died.

Akash too sustained some injuries, and was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday night.

Prasad was a son of a milkman, and had written his SSLC exam recently.

The bus has been seized and driver Mohammed Suleman, 57, has been arrested. A case has been registered in Central traffic police station.
