Both of them are studying in Shindoli, Maharashtra. They had visited Pune just before coming home to Belgaum.  By the time they reached home last week they had high fever and throat infection. They were admitted to the district hospital and their swab samples were sent to NIMHANS, Bangalore for testing two days ago.

Out of 24 samples sent to the NIMHANS on Sunday by the hospital only two were proved positive for swine flu.

Ashok Koparde, Assistant District Administrator said the two boys are given Tamiflu and Flurecure with vitamins and sedatives. They are undergoing a strict diet regime rich in protein such as a potpourri of green salad, boiled eggs, milk and plenty of water.

“Their families were summoned on Tuesday and were explained the progress the two boys are making. The parents are mightily relieved, and we have gained confidence in treating the dreaded disease,” Koparde said. The hospital has screened 9386 persons with flu symptoms till date and only two have proved positive for swine flu.
