Dr Nishit Biniwale is an ordinary 22 year old youngster who sounds excited about his recent achievement. His fragile look might make you wonder if he is the same man who has successfully completed the triathlon in Germany-Challenge Roth 2014. But his records say it all.
Talking about his latest achievement, Biniwale said, "I was always interested in athletic sports but after qualifying as a doctor 6 months back, it was not easy for me to prepare for this triathlon. To take part in the Challenge Roth this year, I used to practice from 3 to 8 in the morning and then head for my clinic."
The triathlon was a strenuous task as it included a 3.8 kilometer swimming track, 180 kilometers of cycling and 42 kilometers of running. Biniwale completed the levels collectively in less than 15 hours. Talking about the adverse conditions in Germany at the time of triathlon, the sports lover says that the hot summers of Pune helped him to complete the challenge successfully. "At the time of the triathlon, we had to fight extreme weather conditions like severe heat (35-40 degrees) and sudden tremendous rainfall. Half of the participants backed off due to such a weather. But being a Punekar, I am quite acquainted with temperature of 40 degrees. This helped me a lot to survive those conditions."
If you participate in global events, some things might go your way and some might go completely against your expectations. Same happened with Biniwale. After successfully completing the competition, he could not find India's flag to hold on foreign soil. But fortunately Biniwale had taken the Indian flag with him which saved him from embarrassment. "Taking the flag along was my first smart decision followed by choosing a Giant-Starkenn bike for this competition," he said.
