“As state BJP leaders have no face to seek votes, they are chanting tje name of Narendra Modi, who is dreaming of assuming the post of prime minister,” said chief minister Siddaramaiah.

Addressing a public meeting in Manvi in Raichur district, Siddaramaiah said that the dream of Modi or the BJP can not be realised in the current scenario in the nation. “Modi, who has failed in development of downtrodden communities in Gujarat, cannot become prime minister even in future as India is a secular country,” he predicted.

In the context of Karnataka, he hoped that the voters will continue supporting the Congress as they did in assembly elections.

Regarding the dispute over Krishna river, the chief minister said that the government would make all efforts to achieve its share of water. “I will meet our counsel Nariman on January 24 and discuss over the issue,” he stated.
