Bengaluru: 22-year-old jumps to death from boyfriend’s flat

Reportedly Vignesh's parents did not approve of his relationship with Neha.

Neha Reddy, a 22-year-old engineering student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from her boyfriend's fourth floor apartment. The Deccan Chronicle reports that the incident happened on Monday night. Neha was the daughter of Mallesh Reddy and lived in Chinnappanhalli, Mahadevapura. She was a second semester engineering student in New Horizon College.

Neha was dating Vignesh who had allegedly made promises to her of marriage once they finished their course, She also introduced him to her family as her fiance. However, Vignesh's parents did not approve of the relationship and asked him to focus on his studies. He was warned by them to stay away from her. Vignesh had started to avoid her calls and this was when Neha went to confront him, adds the daily. He then told her he was breaking up with her and she was allegedly depressed because of this. 

On Monday night, Neha reportedly went to his house to convince him to change his mind but then ended up arguing. She left stating that she was going to kill herself and then went to the terrace and jumped off states the daily. People passing by alerted the police.

Neha's father has stated that Vignesh pushed his daughter to death. The Mahadevapura police have booked a case of abetment to suicide against Vignesh and arrested him.
