Bangalore University to now set up a School of Economics

Bengaluru will now get a School of Economics as the Bangalore University syndicate has approved the proposal. Called the Dr Sitaram Jindal School of Economics, it will be set up at the Jnana Bharathi campus states a report in The New Indian Express. 

The Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor B Thimme Gowda has said that the MoU with the Jindal Group has been uploaded on their website to make the process more transparent. This MoU states that the Jindal group will build the infrastructure only. 

The Dr Sitaram Jindal School of Economics will be similar to the London School of Economics and will be run by the Bangalore University.
