Here’s a doctor who wants to go beyond his daily checkups of patients and make life of patients easy. His startup firm Patient-Help.com connects people to healthcare providers by identifying the latest treatment available at the best cost possible.

“During the initial years of my profession as a doctor, I saw many cases wherein patients had little clue about latest treatment available in the market for their disease or the best hospitals and doctors to approach for a particular treatment,” says Dr Adarsh M Patil, founder of Patient-Help.com. In order to address the issue, Patil started an online firm wherein patients can register about their disease. Doctors and hospitals, both Indian and global, registered on the site, can get in touch with patients directly if they are able to provide the treatment.

“Till now we have mainly dealt with patients requiring bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant. Some cases are very complex and so niche that only 100 hospitals in the world are able to provide treatment. We basically provide a platform for both the parties to coordinate and get in touch with one another,” says Patil.

Patil feels that his website will also bring in more transparency as far as patients are concerned.
“Sometimes a patient can be cured without high-level treatment. So now, if such a patient is registered on my site, doctors will automatically get in touch with him,” says Patil. This, according to him, will save time and make the process hassle-free. He also wishes to make his search options hyperlocal by having locality specific information.

As of today, around 400 global hospitals and 70 Indian hospitals are registered on the site.
