Taking a dig at Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed terrorism and corruption as cancers and said they were born during Congress regime. Addressing a public meeting at Songadh in Tapi, Bardoli Lok Sabha constituency, Modi said, "Terrorism is like cancer. It was born during their regime and they did not do anything to end it. In just five years, we acted. If someone is detected with cancer, how can you stop medicine mid way. Can we stop our attempt to kill terrorists? Who will do this without me. Give me one name who dares to do this. Once terrorism is over, we can live a peaceful life."

He further said, "There was a need to end terrorism. Terrorists get food in neighbourhood. We have to go there to end to teach them a lesson, hence I did so. They had problems even in that and asked for proof. Pakistan is crying, all they need is to listen to their cries to get an answer."

Congress wants to remove security forces from Kashmir and want to break unity of this country. Those who break country are called deshdrohis (traitors). Are they not deshdrohis? A leader of Jammu and Kashmir wants two PM's in India. Do you want two PM's," asked Modi.

Terming corruption to be the second cancer, Modi asked the public, "During my time in Gujarat, has anyone pointed finger for corruption? Since last six months, all parties are coming together, clicking photographs of joined hands, today those very people have left hands. However, their speeches focus only on 'Modi Hatao'. Are they talking about your issue? They do not care about you."

Water crisis is going to be an issue in coming days hence we have decided to create a separate Jal Shakti Mantralay. We will ensure farmers earn double the money, generate electricity through solar panels and sell the government and earn money. We will be working towards that direction", he said.

On a concluding note, he urged first time voters born in 21st century to choose a government that is known to take strong decisions. "Any experience for the first time is always memorable whether you sit on a flight or a train. This voting will be the most important for you as you will choose the future of India. Choose a government that is strong and can take strong decisions. And you do not need to go anywhere to ask who can take strong decisions."

I-T raid in poll speech

Addressing a poll rally at Junagadh in Gujarat, PM Modi took a swipe at the Congress, saying it is known by many names as far as scams are concerned. The Income Tax Department recently conducted raids on close aides of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath and others in four states on Sunday.

The CBDT, that frames policy for the I-T department, had said the department has also detected a trail of Rs 20 crore suspect cash allegedly being moved to the headquarters of a major political party
