The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will hold a five-day long meet from December 29 to address issues related to majority community.
Top VHP leaders, including Pravin Tagodia, Ashok Singhal and Raghav Reddy, will attend the meet, organised at Agrasen Bhavan in City-Light.
Besides them, 250 noted names from VHP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are expected be part the programme.
Apart from core issues like cow slaughter and forced conversion in tribal areas, the leaders will also deliberate on pro-minority politics adopted by political parties and Communal Violence (prevention) Bill drafted by the union government.
“Issues related to majority community and challenges that lay ahead. Uniting divided Hindus and strengthening them is on the agenda. Leaders will also throw light on political events that can affect the community,” said Jogendra Dhani, VHP head (Surat).
Dhani said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is expected to attend the meeting. However, date is not confirmed yet.
In addition to the meeting, the leaders will address public gathering and attend group meetings in Surat. Local VHP unit has also organised a meeting at Parvat Patia on Sunday.
