Science and tech can bring devpt as well as destruction: Bhupendrasinh Chudasama

Science and technology can bring development as well as destruction and it lies upon us how to take advantage of it. We should find ways how to progress with the use of science and technology along with preserving nature, said state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama at a seminar on 'Science and Technology for Sustainable Future'.

The seminar was organized by Indrashil University and was held at Ahmedabad Management Association on Friday.

The seminar brought together stakeholders on a single platform for identifying the gaps that science and technology needs to fill in to address critical issues like climate change, food security, rise of non-communicable diseases, pollution and growing unemployment, etc. Experts opined that sustainability science, the new approach that deals with sustainable future are essential to lay the foundation for solutions required for above mentioned dynamic challenges.

Speaking at the event, state education minister Bhupendra Chudasama said "Earlier we had only government universities but now we have total 33 government and private universities. Science and technology play a pivotal role in all the sectors where human capital is involved. Science and technology have dramatically changed health, agriculture and industrial sectors in a huge way."
