Nine of a family die in accident in Kutch

Nine members of a family were killed on Sunday morning, when the tractor trailer they were travelling in collided with a luxury bus at Shikra village in Bhachau taluka of Kutch district. The deceased were headed for village Vijpasar to attend the wedding ceremony of a relative.

According to local police, the dead include Kanku Bhimabhai Anavadia (60), Pami Anavadia (55), Jigna Bhutak (25), Daya Anavadia (75), Mana Anavadia (50), Nisha Anavadia (17), Rama Anavadia (60), Kishor Anavadia (10), and Vishal Anavadia (20).

The accident took place around 9:45 am near the premises of Euro Ceramics. All the deceased were residents of Shikra village.

Local police have registered a case and has initiated an inquiry into the matter.
