Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad releases audited placement report

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (IIMA) on Friday released an audited version of the Summer Placement report- 2013-14. The report has been audited by Crisil, the third party auditor, as part of Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS).

According to the audited report, of the total 381 students in the post-graduate program in management (PGP), 378 participated in the placement process while three opted out of it. In PGP-Agri Business Management (PGP-ABM), 44 of the 45 students participated in the placement process while one chose not to be placed through the institute.

The report also stated that in PGP, consulting offered maximum internship opportunities with 81 students opting for internship with consulting firms. This was followed by 71 choosing to intern in banking, financial service and insurance sectors, 50 with consumer goods and 46 with conglomerates. For the PGP-ABM, 21 students chose to intern with agri-inputs sector, nine with consumer goods and six in food processing.  

IN ABM, 42 students accepted internships in India and two in Europe. In PGP, 338 students chose to intern in India, two students in America and Europe each, nine students in south-east Asia and eight in western Asia, said the note from the institute.
