IIM-A's RTE centre to hold winter school

The Right To Education Resource Centre (RTERC) of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, will host the 5th edition of its annual flagship event, winter school in December.

The programme aims to orient students towards public policy and social change. Participants of the winter school will undergo four day orientation workshop at IIM-A after which they will select a policy of their choice and do a practicum at a place of their choice.

Officials at the center said, "The practicum would ideally take 10 days. Participants will then be required to send a report to the RTERC, detailing the work they have done, to earn a certificate.

"Winter School provides a platform for participants to engage with ideas in education and public policy and enact their roles as citizens towards the creation of a socially just society," professor Ankur Sarin, Faculty coordinator, RTERC at IIM-A.

The deadline to apply to the program is November 10.
