According to officials, 28 IAS officers of the 2003 batch, and as many IPS officers of different batches were among the ones promoted.

The new year began on a great note for many bureaucrats and police officers as their promotions were announced on Monday. According to officials, 28 IAS officers of the 2003 batch, and as many IPS officers of different batches were among the ones promoted.
A government notification said that four IAS officers of 1987-batch were promoted to additional chief secretary grade. Raj Kumar, director general of ESIC in New Delhi; Raj Gopal, energy secretary in Gujarat government; RP Gupta, additional secretary in Niti Aayog, and L Chuaungo, posted in Mizoram government, were promoted as ACS.
Eight IAS officers of 2003-batch were promoted to Super Time Scale, that is secretary to government, upon completing 15 years of service. They include commissioner of geology & mining Roopwant Singh; MD of Gujarat Informatics Limited, Sandhya Bhullar; MD of UGVCL, Swaroop P; director of census operations, Pravin Solanki; director of technical education, Avantika Singh Aulakh; OSD in office of settlement commissioner, SL Amrani; commissioner of municipalities administration, MS Patel, and director of higher education, LP Padalia.
The government also promoted 16 IAS of 2003-batch to Selection Grade. They are Ravi Kumar Arora, CR Kharsan, BK Kumar, NK Damor, MD Modiya, SB Patel, SK Langa, VB Mecwan, Ajay Kumar, Jenu Devan, AK Kalaria, RB Barad, CP Nema, JT Akhani, and IK Patel. Alok Kumar Pandey, on inter-cadre deputation to UP, was also promoted.
Among IPS officers, Surat police commissioner Satishkumar Sharma was promoted to DGP grade, a home department notification said.
Five officers of the 2001-batch were promoted to the Inspector General grade. They are additional commissioner (administration) in Ahmedabad, Vipul Aggarwal; additional commissioner in Surat, DN Patel; Gandhinagar range DIG, Mayur Chavda; commando training centre DIG, GL Singhal, and additional commissioner (traffic) in Ahmedabad JR Mothaliya.
The government granted Selection Grade to 14 officers of the 2006-batch. They include Nilesh Jajadia, Bipin Ahire, Sharad Singhal, Chirag Koradia, RJ Pargi, PL Mal, MS Bhabhor, RF Sangada, BR Pandor, NN Chaudhary, AG Chauhan, MK Nayak, RV Asari, and KN Damor.
Similarly, eight IPS officers of 2010-batch were promoted to Junior Administrative Grade. They are Jaipalsingh Rathore, Leena Patil, Sweta Shrimali, Nirlipt Rai, Deepak Meghani,Anrip Sood, Mahendra Bagria, and Sunil Joshi.
