The committee formed by state government to fix the new fee limit for self-financed schools has concluded the hearing, from school management as well as parents associations. New cut-offs of the same will be announced before February 22.

The court in its order on February 1 had observed, "The state shall carry out the exercise of fixing exemption limit. For this purpose, they shall hear the representatives of the petitioner-schools and one representative from each of the parents' associations, one which opposes the Act and the other which supports the Act. After such limit is fixed, the FRC shall scrutinize the proposals and the accounts submitted by various schools and fix the fees. Preferably, the state may create categories of fee structure along with facilities made available by the schools for easy determination of the fees chargeable by them, the order said.
