Agency reveals he lost 23 bitcoins in automatic trading

A sessions court, on Thursday, granted two more days remand to CID (Crime) for Kirit Paladiya in the Shailesh Bhatt kidnapping and bitcoin extortion case. Paladiya was arrested by CID (Crime) on May 4 and during the investigation, he was revealed to be the mastermind behind the crimes. CID (Crime) had sought eight days remand from the court but was granted two days.
Sudhir Bhrambhatt, a government lawyer in the case, said, "We have sought eight days remand before the court, however, the court granted two days remand till May 12."
Paladiya's father, younger brother and a family friend were present at the court and during a conversation with the DNA correspondent, his brother Nilesh alleged that his brother was being framed in the case.
On Wednesday CID (Crime) had recovered 119 bitcoins worth Rs 7.2 crore from Kirit Paladiya's Binance wallet. As per the investigation, Paladiya's wallet should have had 142 bitcoins but only 119 were recovered. When CID (Crime) started investigating the 23 missing bitcoins, it was revealed that Paladiya had lost the 23 bitcoins in trading.
As per CID officials, it was revealed during interrogation that Paladiya had installed an automated bitcoin trading robot named BTC Robot inside his Binance wallet which had 142 bitcoins. During the automated trading process, Paladiya lost 23 bitcoins.
