In order to promote gender equality among schoolchildren the teachers’ organisation wants government to show Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal in schools.

After the Latur Zilla Parishad made arrangments to show Dangal movie to schoolgirls, the Shikshak Parishad (teachers’ organisation) wrote a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Education Minister Vinod Tawde to make the movie tax free, and to ensure that it is shown in all state schools.

Anil Bornare, Shikshak Parishad Mumbai Division President, said, “The movie will definitely encourage the importance of educating the girl child, patriotism, hardwork and equality, among young children in schools. Hence I have written a letter to both higher authorities to make this movie tax free.”
