After the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board examination timetable, recently, teachers from Shikshak Parishad have raised an objection. Anil Bornare, Mumbai President of Shikshak Parishad has requested the Board to ensure there are holidays between three subject papers: Science, Sociology part 1 and Sociology part 2, which as per the current timetable is scheduled for March 20, 21 and 22 for SSC students. According to teachers, every year the board gives adequate break between different subjects, and this reduces the stress levels for students. “Since five years the board has been preparing student-friendly timetable of SSC and HSC till now. In the previous years, the board always ensured a day’s gap between every every exam for students to prepare without any stress.

But this time in the SSC timetable the board has kept three subject papers continuously without any holiday, which may burden the students. Hence I have written to the board requesting them to keep a gap between these three papers. Now looking at how many suggestions come, the board may make changes in timetable.”
