US President Barack Obama has argued that he had honoured over half of what he promised to do to bring about a change in the country during his 2008 election campaign, including the killing of the 9/11 terror attack mastermind Osama bin Laden.
He said that now was the time for his supporters to show their commitment to his reelection bid.
"Change is possible. We've made change, and we've made it because of you. And so the question is: How committed are you going to be to continue this process?" Obama said at a fund-raiser in San Francisco, California.
"You know, I keep a checklist in my drawer of my campaign promises ... and we've gotten about 60 per cent done so far -- in three years, but I need another five to get the other 40 per cent done," The Telegraph quoted him, as saying.
Some liberal voters have expressed their disappointment in recent days by insisting that the President has failed to lived up to campaign promises he had made during the 2008 elections.
Obama, however, said that his accomplishments include ending the ban on gays serving openly in the military, regulatory reform in the finance industry, his health care law, and his decision to finally pull all US troops out Iraq.
