Explosion at China's petrochemical plant kills two

The blast happened at an oil tank farm 30 km from Lanzhou in Gansu province. The centre of the explosion was more than 500 m from residential areas.

Two people died in an explosion at a petrochemical plant belonging to China's top state-owned oil firm CNPC, Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday.                                           

Xinhua said the blast happened at an oil tank farm 30 km from Lanzhou in Gansu province. The centre of the explosion was more than 500 m from residential areas, which were unaffected.
