A 3-month-old baby from UK was suspected of being a terrorist by US visa authorities owing to his grandfather's silly mistake, reported The Guardian.

Baby Harvey Kenyon-Cairns was scheduled to fly to Orlando in Florida with his parents and grandparents. But he had to make a detour as he was summoned to the the US embassy in London for an interview.

His grandfather, Paul Kenyon mistakenly ticked "Yes" instead of "No" on the visa waiver form to the question “Do you seek to engage in or have you ever engaged in terrorist activities, espionage, sabotage, or genocide?”

Paul learnt of his error only when Harvey's travel was refused. “I couldn’t believe that they couldn’t see it was a genuine mistake and that a three-month-old baby would be no harm to anyone,” the 62-year-old told Guardian.

Harvey had to be taken to the embassy in Grosvenor Square, London from his home in Poynton, Cheshire for interrogation by the officials. The mess-up cost them an extra 3,000 pounds, as the new visa didn’t arrive in time for the family’s flights.

“It was a very expensive mistake, but I was hoping the US embassy would realise that it was just a simple error without us having to jump through all the hoops,” Kenyon said. “If you were a terrorist, I suspect you’d not be ticking yes on the Esta form anyway,” he added.
