"I feel very proud because everything that she got, she did it with her hard work and her auditions. I was just there to support her. I could not provide her anything else being in a different industry. (I belong to) The TV industry and she is going to enter the film industry," Shweta told IANS.

The 40-year-old actress has been a part of the television industry for over two decades now. She rose to fame wither portrayal as main lead Prerna Sharma Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. She has worked in several shows such as ‘Parvarrish’, ‘Begusarai' and ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’.

Shweta shares the Bollywood and TV industry, both function in different ways but is proud of her hardworking daughter.

"The way of working in these two industries are absolutely different. I think I could not help her much, which I feel sad about. She is such a hardworking girl and I am so proud of her," the actress added.

Shweta has also participated in various reality shows including ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Nach Baliye’. She will soon be seen in season 11 of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ along with other contestants such as Nikki Tamboli, Rahul Vaidya, Divyanka Tripathi and Arjun Bijlani among others. Meanwhile, Palak’s upcoming film ‘Rosie: The Saffron Chapter’ is based on true events. The story is about an employee, Rosie who worked at a call centre called Saffron in Gurgaon, India. One day Rosie stops coming to the office, the plot twist here is that she had died eight years back!

Talking about the film, Palak had earlier said, “Rosie irrefutably is not your average horror film, it’s an amalgamation of romance, spine chilling thrills, laced with an intriguing perspective. What makes it even better is the eximious team of people behind it. I’m truly honored to be a part of this production and this family along with a team of people that are truly aficionados of their respective fields such as Prerna Ma’am, Vivek sir and our amazing writer and director Vishal sir.”
