EKta Kapoor's new 'Naagin' Anita Hassandani may be doing great work on the small screen but strongly feels that unlike Hollywood, TV actors are not valued much by the film industry in India.

Anita made her debut with "Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii" and went to appears in shows such as "Kkavyanjali" and "Kasamh Se" while also acting in films like "Kucch Toh Hai", "Krishna Cottage" and others. "I believe TV actors are very talented, the kind of pressure they face while doing television is immense. If you have done TV, then you can do films easily. I don't think film industry values small screen actors as much as Hollywood does. I wish they looked up to them, valued them because TV has some really amazing talent," Anita told PTI.

A number of TV actors entered the film industry such as Sushant Singh Rajput, Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Rajeev Khandelwal and others, but not all of them have been successful.

"Not everybody can be a Shah Rukh Khan or a Priyanka Chopra. You have to accept that with a smile on your face and enjoy where you are in your career. But at the same time, I feel it is just a matter of right script coming your way..."I come from a simple family and had no connections in the film and TV industry. And today when I look back, I feel I have achieved so much. I am content," she said.

The 38-year-old actor said she thoroughly enjoyed watching Sakshi in sports drama "Dangal" and is looking forward to watching Ankita Lokhande in Kangana Ranaut's period drama "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi".

Talking about her own film prospects,Anita said, "I will do something in films only if I get an exciting offer, otherwise I don't care for films. I am happy where I am." With so many film and television actors opting for web series, Anita too has joined the bandwagon with ALTBalaji's "Galti Se Mis-Tech" in which she is seen with Rithvik Dhanjani. It went on air from April 7.

"As actors, it is important to keep doing newer stuff. Digital platform is more exciting and open-minded. For me, it is about striking a balance between TV and web. I love doing both," she said.
