DNA Exclusive: Vivek Dahiya on how donning uniform in ZEE5's 'State of Siege 26/11' gave him 'perfect posture'
Vivek Dahiya is all set to make his digital debut with ZEE5's 'State of Siege 26/11' based on Sandeep Unnithan's book 'Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11'.

Vivek Dahiya, who became a household name with his stint as Inspector Abhishek Singh in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is all set to make his digital debut. The handsome actor will be seen playing one of the leading roles in ZEE5 Original show titled State of Siege 26/11. The web series is based on NSG Commandos who were part of the 2008 Mumbai Terror Attacks. Vivek is playing the role of Captain Rohit Bagga.
His first look of donning uniform made it to the Internet and he nails it perfectly. Talking about the same, Vivek stated, "It's a proud privilege to have played an NSG commando. The moment you put on the uniform you feel dutiful and responsible. Your shoulder blades retract and you have a perfect posture, at least that's what I experienced. I felt that I am responsible for my country and the protection of its citizens."
Dahiya further expressed, "I learned so much about the soldiers, about their way of life, their training, their lifestyle, emotions everything."
A while back, Vivek had shared a photo collage of himself getting into the uniform. He captioned it stating, "From a civilian to a Black Cat Commando in a jiffy- that’s a privilege of being an actor! #NSG #Commandos"
Based on Sandeep Unnithan's book Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11, State of Siege: 26/11 is based on the horrifying terror attack which will be disclosing many unknown facts about the entire incident. The show also stars Arjan Bajwa, Arjun Bijlani, Mukul Dev, Sid Makkar, Tara Alisha Berry, Khalida Jaan, Jyoti Gauba, Roshni Sahota, Suzanne Bernert, Naren Kumar and Jason Shah. Directed by Matthew Leutwyler, the series will release on ZEE5 on March 20, 2020.
