Twitter will let you go back to classic chronological timeline

Twitter's fidgeting with its feed algorithm has become a routine. In its latest attempt at improving users, experience, the company has decided to allow you switch to the good old classic timeline view. Twitter tweaked its algorithm in 2016 to show the best tweets first. However, the Twitterati wasn't happy. In its latest tweet announcing the change, Twitter said that it will allow users to switch between algorithmic and chronological timeline in the coming weeks, Mashable reported.

Twitter's fidgeting with its feed algorithm has become a routine. In its latest attempt at improving users, experience, the company has decided to allow you switch to the good old classic timeline view. Twitter tweaked its algorithm in 2016 to show the best tweets first. However, the Twitterati wasn't happy. In its latest tweet announcing the change, Twitter said that it will allow users to switch between algorithmic and chronological timeline in the coming weeks, Mashable reported.

Meanwhile, it has updated the best tweets first option. Users can head to Settings and switch off 'show the best tweets first' to see tweets in reverse chronological order. 

Recently, Twitter said it is expanding premium video content in Asia Pacific with over 50 live stream and video highlights collaborations. "Twitter unveils over 50 premium video content collaborations, bringing hundreds of hours of live stream and video highlights programming, across sports, entertainment and news, to the platform," Twitter said in a statement.

The statement also said that a dozen Indian content collaborations with partners like Red Chillies Entertainment, Vh1 Supersonic, Comic Con India, Network 18, Scoopwhoop, NDTV, Filmfare and CricBuzz and others will feature new live stream and video highlights programming on Twitter, available to advertisers.

"Content is happening now at Twitter, and we have proven through the efficacy of the partnerships we have crafted, that content programming and distribution on Twitter is an essential part of any media company's audience engagement and content monetisation strategies," Kay Madati, Global VP of Content Partnerships, Twitter said in a statement.  Stating that Asia Pacific is "accelerating growth" for Twitter, Madati said that the platform seeks to move forward with more live stream and premium video content partnerships in the region.
