Moto Z3 Play expected to launch on June 6 in Brazil

Motorola has sent out invites for an event on June 6 where it is expected to unveil the upcoming Moto Z3 Play. Though the company did not reveal anything about the device, a report stated that the company will launch the Moto Z3 Play during the event.

Motorola has sent out invites for an event on June 6 where it is expected to unveil the upcoming Moto Z3 Play. Though the company did not reveal anything about the device, a report stated that the company will launch the Moto Z3 Play during the event.

In terms of rumoured specifications, the device features a 6-inch 18:9 full-HD+ display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM. It will include an internal storage of 32GB or 64GB which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. The smartphone is expected to include a dual rear camera setup with a main 12MP sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is expected to be backed up by a 3000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G6 was launched in Brazil last month. It is priced at $249 (approximately Rs 16,500). Two more smartphones were also unveiled namely, the Moto G6 Plus priced at $350 (approximately Rs 23,800) and Moto G6 Play priced at $199 (approximately Rs 13,000). In terms of specifications, the Motorola Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch full-HD+ display along with a 1080x2160 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 3GB/4GB RAM options.

Running Android 8.0 Oreo, the device includes two storage options – 32GB and 64GB. It can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes equipped with a dual-camera set up – 12MP primary sensor along with a 5MP sensor. It also includes a 16MP front-facing sensor. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type-C. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. The smartphone also includes support for TurboPower charging.
