Vengsarkar XI in command in Total Cup U-14

Vengsarkar XI seized full control of the match after they restricted Verroc Cricket Academy, Pune, to 205 in the Total Cup U-14 cricket tournament final on Thursday. In reply, they were 38 for no loss at close on Day One.

After electing to bat, Verroc Cricket Academy captain Omkar Sankpal fought a lone battle and was unable to find able support from the other end barring Sudhanshu Gundeti. Omkar hit 54 which had nine hits to the fences.

Once the pair was separated, it took little time for the Pune side to be bundled out for 205 and Vengsarkar XI found themselves in a commanding position.
