A student of class Xth Singh is the only goalkeeper in the tournament seen using the technique of cushioning the opponent’s shots on goal with his hands before actually catching the ball. The technique clearly seems to have given him an edge over other goalkeepers.

Singh, who was given the best goalkeeper award, said: “I am very happy to win this award and even happier to win the championship.”
